Ages 3-6. June 27-July 1. Camp hours: Ballerina Camp 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; Princess Camp 12 p.m.-2 p.m. Children who dream of being a ballerina or a princess will enjoy these camps. Princess campers will dance, sing and act like a different Disney princess each day. Family and friends are invited to attend the Princess Ball on the last day of camp. Ballerina campers will be twirling around the room with grace and poise. Each day will include an arts and craft project.

Unnecessary Annoyance

So I thought I was a really chill person but little things are really pissing me off right now. Took one of those magazine quizzes about how you deal with stress. Apparently I’m an “externalizer” and I guess it’s pretty true. I always go to a friend to talk about my problems when I’m stressing. But right now I really don’t have time for that and need to write out two research papers… so just going to put this out there. 

It’s so annoying when you have to act somewhat nice to someone you really don’t like because your good friend is good friends with them.

Sure, there are probably lots of annoying people out there, but very few of them are a part of my life in a way that affects me. And this person is in my life SO MUCH. This is such an unnecessary situation.

Conversation On BART

A little girl with her doll sat next to me on the BART today as I was coming home from the Cal vs. OSU game. She tells me about how she tripped on her violin case and that’s why she hurt her finger and shows me some tiny scratch. She asks me if I’m a college student and I say that I am. Then she asks me what I want to be when I grow up and I say I don’t know yet. I ask her what she wants to be, and she replies confidently that she wants to be an Olympic swimmer, and explains that she’s going to start YMCA swim team practice soon. 

Little kids are so cute, even when they’re all absurdly ambitious. I miss those days when I thought I knew exactly what the hell I was doing. 

Another less interesting conversation I overheard: Other Cal students with their faces painted blue and gold talking about how they had to do their NMR worksheet. A girl asks “What’s NMR?” The guy answers, “Nuclear magnetic…something.” 

Two other Cal students sitting next to me who also are eavesdropping on this conversation are like “Resonance! Resonance!” 

Me listening to all of this and just thinking: I am SO over chem. 

On a sidenote: Auntie Anne’s pretzel and a burger from McDonald’s, two things I have not had in a really long time until today. 

I also did not realize how much I miss Hello Kitty products. Being in the Sanrio store today felt really good. Going to reform my relationship with HK and start dropping some cash on cuteness. 

And that was basically my day.

Another Friday

Gotta get 2 bank and post office b4 closing, collect mushrooms by sunset (and correctly identify them), and submit 800 word paper by 5. @ work till 3…fml. then prep for meeting with groupmates tomorrow morning, get dinner, stop by a bday party.

Note to self: need to be at home from 6-8pm for delivery.

Friday

It’s been a while since I’ve spent a Friday night all by myself…and it feels kinda weird. On top of that, I’m doing a study guide that I need to finish by tomorrow morning, which makes this situation seem really sad. I’m probably being over dramatic, maybe it’s because I’m listening to this song that was on one of the old episodes of HIMYM.
